New York City Includes Five Boroughs (Counties.)

New York City is made up of five boroughs within five counties.


Borough of the Bronx (Bronx County)
Borough of Brooklyn (Kings County)
Borough of Manhattan (New York County)
Borough of Queens (Queens County)
Borough of Staten Island (Richmond County).

The largest borough (county) in area is Queens with 108 square miles.
Brooklyn (Kings county) is the largest in population with 2.3 million people as per the 1990 census.
