Jacob K Javits Convention Center

The Jacob K Javits Convention Center is the premier convention and tradeshow hosting location in all of Manhattan.  The Javits Center was built with one thing in mind and that is presenting conventions and trade shows to all trade groups and the public.

It is very easy to find having a prominent location right near the Lincoln Tunnel and at the West Side Highway and W. 34th St.  The great sprawling complex is an impressive black metal framed all-glass building.  The actual address is 655 W. 34th Street.

The Javits Center is host to the leading conventions, trade shows, consumer shows and special events. There is no better world stage than this marketplace on which to produce, exhibit or attend an event.

Here are a couple of links that will be helpful for exhibitors needing exhibit booths for Jacob Javits Center, and also for the best hotel near the Javits Center that offers FREE PARKING in New York City.  From our research we believe it is the “ONLY” hotel in NYC that offers free parking to its guests.

So no matter what you are interested in from food to cars, and everything else you can think of, plan a visit to Javits when you are in the city.  Check their website for current and coming events.  http://www.javitscenter.com/

Mission Improv Frozen in Time at Grand Central

This is way cool and where else but in Grand Central?

Mission Improv is acting at its finest with over 200 people freezing in place for five minutes.

Take the A Train

This video has a whole lot of the feel of New York City.

The Take the A Train theme fits it perfectly.

Enjoy.

Different subject:

Did you know that much of New York City’s underground train system is also below sea level? During the World Trade Center Recovery effort the one primary fear was that the so called bathtub, the retainer wall around the WTC complex, might cave inward and that would allow open sea water to rush in from the river and destroy, perhaps in a manner unrecoverable, the whole NYC Transit system.

Please watch this video about the Katrina Disaster and the cause of the flooding. It is poignant to say the least and we should keep it in mind that this could happen to New York City also.

Here is the direct link to the video.
