New York City – You've got me now!

Estimate Your New York City Taxi Fare for Any Two Points in NYC

We want to call your attention to a very handy calculator tool that estimates the cost of any taxi cab ride in New York City.

Taxi Me (dot ca) uses Google Maps to plot the best route from Point A to Point B and gives you an approximation of the cost of the fare. It is only an estimator but we find it highly useful for gauging the best way to get around in the city.

You will have to input specific street names and adress numbers, along with New York, NY (as city/state.)

This Canadian based company will eventually be providing taxi me map calcultors for many major US cites, however right now it is only available for NYC in the United States.

There is quite a lot of other information available on the taxi me website and you can also print out a turn by turn route and mileage chart along with your map results.

Taxis in New York City are painfully expensive. You’re much better off taking a subway or bus unless you’re in a big hurry.

That’s for sure but most visitors do not know how to use the bus or subway. It takes time to learn the routes. You are right about the price though.
    Thanks for the ocmment.
